Gathering Thoughts

Winter in Wisconsin:
Here I sit looking out the window at my snow bound world. Trees hang heavy with white clouds of snow. The sun shines bright with a hint of spring in the air, but the wind still blows hard and cold to remind me that winter is still here.
My thoughts run to a summer filled with camping. I remember the wonderful sound of laughter, the smell and crackle of a campfire, the closeness of family and friends as we gather together for a night of story telling.
All this brings a smile to my face. Soon the flowers will peek through the snow, the birds will sing and the winter will be all but forgotten.
So gather your thoughts to warm your heart on cold winter days and the sun will shine again with times remembered.. njw
